Classification of hikes

Dear reader,
  • To make the page easier to see through, I created a table for you where I categorized the hikes into three categories.
  • By clicking on the hike’s name in the table, you can read the description of it.
  • The number near the hike indicates its difficulty on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 indicating the easiest hike and 10 indicating the most difficult.

In the following, you can read what means an easy, moderately difficult, and difficult hike. Keep in mind that the classification is very dependent on the individual.

Easy hike: it is not very tiring, the path is easily accessible, the distances are not very significant, about 5-10 km, the level differences are smaller, about 0-600 m. Easy to achieve with normal physical condition. 1-2-3 difficulties on a scale of 1 to 10.

Moderately difficult hike: tiring route, the pathway can lead at more exposed places, short climbing sections with chains may occur, distances are longer, about 15-20 km, level differences are larger, about 600-1000 m. Good physical condition and endurance are required. Proper mountain equipment is required! 4-5-6-7 difficulties on a scale of 1 to 10.

Difficult hike: very tiring, the trail can be steep, can lead to exposed sections, along gorges, there are often secured climbing sections and rocky handrails. Distances and level differences are more significant, high-altitude environments and even extreme conditions are to be expected. Requires excellent physical condition, endurance, not recommended for people who are dizzy at height! Proper alpine equipment and hiking experience required! 8-9-10 difficulties on a scale of 1 to 10.
